The Role
You build the infrastructure the product runs on. API design, data pipelines, integrations with GoHighLevel, Twilio, and every legal CRM attorneys actually use. You make sure the platform handles thousands of simultaneous intake calls without a missed prompt or a dropped coaching signal.
You are not a feature builder. You are an infrastructure architect. The decisions you make in the first 18 months will define how eNZeTi scales from hundreds to tens of thousands of law firm seats. The work demands someone who thinks in systems, ships in weeks, and treats production reliability as a personal standard.
What You Will Do
- Design and build RESTful APIs and internal services in Python and Node.js
- Integrate with GoHighLevel, Twilio, Clio, and other legal practice management platforms
- Build and maintain real-time data pipelines for call analytics and reporting
- Own backend performance, security, and uptime SLAs
- Design the database schema and query architecture for call-level analytics at scale
- Mentor junior engineers and set the engineering standards for the team
- Build developer tooling and internal services that make the whole team faster
- Lead incident response and own the reliability posture of the platform
What We Need
- 5+ years backend engineering in Python or Node.js
- API integration experience with telephony platforms (Twilio, SIP preferred)
- PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS — you have run these in production under real load
- Track record of shipping and maintaining systems at scale with real SLAs
- Strong opinions on observability, incident response, and reliability
- Comfortable working directly with a founding team and owning decisions end-to-end
What You Will Build On
- Greenfield backend architecture — no 10-year-old legacy debt to work around
- A founding team that ships fast and trusts you to own your domain
- Real production load from active law firm customers growing every week
- A clear technical roadmap from current MVP to enterprise-grade platform
Why This Role Matters
Every intake call that gets coached runs through the systems you build. The reliability, speed, and scalability of those systems determines whether a law firm coordinator gets the right prompt at the right moment or misses it entirely. Backend engineering at eNZeTi is not support work. It is product-critical infrastructure for a market that has never seen a tool like this.
